So a lot has happened in the last week. Well not really that much, but it feels like a lot. I set up a little investment plan, which was really scary. I don't know why, but that really makes me feel like an adult. I also decided how much I can invest in my work stocks, so I'm glad that got started.
I also, get ready for it, bought a car. Me. A car. I was getting really disappointed because they couldn't find the exact one I wanted... I four door, standard, with a/c and power locks/windows, in black. They had it in red, but it has this tan interior that created some kind of internal rage the minute I sad in it. They had it in automatic, but I REALLY don't want another automatic, and it's harder to talk on my phone whilst driving a standard, so hopefully I'll break that nasty habit. They ALSO had it without the a/c and power stuff, but I really didn't want to have to unlock my car with a key every time and die of stifling heat in the summer. And finally, they had the hatchback, but there was something about it that I didn't really like.
In any event, I was sad that I was going to have to settle, and I didn't want to have to settle. So I worked my charm (and Oscar, my salesman, worked HIS charm on his boss who in turn found one in Quebec and also had a little crush on me after he looked at my phone and saw a picture of me and liked what he saw) and everything worked out in the end. SO, in 10-15 days, I will be the proud owner of a new car! Can you even stand it? I can't!!!
Yay for me. And I guess I'm growing up.

Congratulations on the car. I'd say you're definitely getting close to real live grown-upness but given some of the stories I've heard about your trips out East I wouldn't say you've settled down quite yet. Besides you did go for a black standard. If you went for beige-on-beige automatic that would be a different story.
I hear you about having to manually unlock your car doors. How did people manage back in the stone ages?
What kind of car is it? Congrats on becoming a full fledge adult with a side of fun and mischief.
so are you grown up enough to come to the chili peppers on saturday??? Call my cell and let me know!
kirst - click on the underlined "car" ;-)
This is true, I don't think that real live grown-ups go to montreal and are drunk for pretty much 5 days straight, all the while getting into all kinds of mischief. Good point. I can be a mischeivious adult.
Yeah for all those who've asked me what kind of car, I linked it in the post, as Kris mentioned.
I was just referring to fanangling Crave Cupcakes, but that story works too :-)
