I think I figured it out

I'm pretty sure the whole point of the "er" thing is that everything at bell is better than the rest, so cool is now cooler, sexy is now sexier, etc. It's just putting the emphasis on the superlative. (I think the word is superlative anyway). That's what I've decided anyway.

On a side note, I am now gluten free. My Dr got in touch with the GI specialist and together they decided that since I have no appointment in sight, I should go off gluten, and then I'll have to go back on it for 10 days leading up to the appointment. Apparently those 10 days will be "uncomfortable" but I think it will be worth it for now! Too bad this decision wasn't made 6 months ago...

re: "er"

That's the point I was trying to make in my most recent comment on your last post. Only problem is (as it turns out) I provided a link to the second page of the article I was trying to point out. The article that very clearly points out matters concerning the whole "er" thing. The article is here. Doesn't matter now because you figured it out...or have you?

All the best regarding your appointment(s) and the gluten free life. I could imagine giving up gluten. It's my favorite.

As much as I love glutenous products (mmm....beeer...), and as much as I'd miss them, I think that if the elimination of them made my stomach feel better, my energy levels go up, and the general malaise go away, I'd be able to do it.

I think that for the 10 days you're back on gluten you should live off cupcakes and beer.

I completely agree. I'll probably be doubled over in pain the whole 10 days, but I plan on having a cupcake in one hand and a beer in the other pretty much 24/7. Then when I get sick of cupcakes I'll switch the cupcake for another beer.

I read an article on gluten free recipes. I let you know the recipe book name they suggest. I just can't think of it off hand.
Yeah to cupcakes, neah(sp?) to beer. Hopefully I can find something to make you next time you come for Tuesday night dinner.

there's no gluten in bacon...so you could serve that.

Rev, I wondered about the link because I didn't really see anything that cleared it up, but as I can now see from your new link, it's clear. You can take full credit for figuring it out. I felt pretty clever when I saw an add on a bus and suddenly realized the whole point though.

There is gluten-free beer so you don't have to completely give beer up.

The weird thing about the 'er' is that they highlight it in other words such as anywhere - I know it still drives home the point but since I saw those ads just as frequently as the ads where the er was a superlative it confused my little brain.

Since I view telecoms pretty much the same way I view politicians, I just think Bell is crappier and suckier.
