So I've been dinking around with photos on my blog. I'd like to be able to have a photo to go along with my username like some other's have. I can't seem to get it done. Hello doesn't work for me. I've done everything right and it doesn't work. So I've signed up with flickr. I've done quite a bit. But I still can't set my own photo to my blogger blog. I know that I add it through dashboard and then scroll down to photo and I'm supposed to put in the URL, but I can't seem to do it. Blogger keeps telling me that I have an "bad URL". Any suggestions?

Wierd... I just checked, and Blogger will now let you upload images right to blogger, but it doesn't seem to let you do that for a profile pic. One thing you can do is either use one of those photo services you were talking about ( is another one), OR you can sign up for a free Web site through, and just use it for storing pics. Just take the FTP info they give you (user name + password), and you can actually do it right through Internet Explorer. You will be able to drag files right onto it, and they will be uploaded to your new server.

hope that helps Heather, let me know if you have any questions, and I can try to help you out. :)

I think I get that part (well, maybe), but for example, your little photo right there on the side.... You put it on through the "dashboard" in blogger, and it asked you for the URL of it... so what did you put as the URL? I tried and it did NOT work.

hmmm... The URL that you show there WOULD be incorrect, because it points to a folder, not an individual file. It should point to the folder AND the file you want to use. For example, mine would be:

Go to the actual picture in flickr, and right-click it. Choose "Properties" and copy the address (URL) of the picture. Enter in that address in the Blogger dashboard.

You are smart!!

That totally worked!

Now it won't show up on my blog page though... just on my profile.
