Frustrated

I got a new computer. I love it. Except that I don't know how to use it. I'm VERY frustrated. But I know I'll love it more when I learn how to use it. For now, I'm working on getting stupid MSN messenger to work on it.

And all of a sudden my tools thing on blogger has lost a few things. Like the hyperlink button. I was going to link you to what my computer is, but it's not there. Blech I'm frustrated.

Congrats on the new 'puter! I'm not sure what's going on with blogger, but I can tell you this: Internet Explorer (if that's what you're using) sux0rz. It can also give you viruses.

Go here: http://www.mozilla.com/ and download Firefox. It's a great browser, and you'll keep your nice new computer acting young. While yer at it, download Thunderbird too from the same place. If you use it instead of Outlook Express, you'll also be safer from email nasties (viruses).

Thanks for the advice. I actually am using Safari... and the stuff isn't showing up. I got a Power Book, so I'm going through the trials and tribulations of learning how to use a mac. Do you know of any virus scanners for Macs?

Ahhh... I didn't realize you got a Mac :)

I wouldn't worry too much then. Apple's relatively small market share means that people don't bother making viruses for them very often. It's not that they can't, they just don't. However, I have a few Mac friends, and I will ask if there are any virus scanners they like to use.

Safari is another great browser BTW. However, you can still get Firefox for the Mac. It may or may not clear up your problem. (Firefox works perfectly for me with Blogger, but the Mac version *might* be different.)

It actually does work way better, so thanks!!!! Here's another stupid question. I only have a *hot mail* account, so I can't add it into thunderbird because it's an HTTP thing, not a pop or imap. Right? I've been stuggling with it since yesterday, and I can't seem to figure myself out.

Hmmm.. I haven't used Thunderbird yet myself, but I've set it up for someone else. I know you can do hotmail through Outlook Express, so I'm sure you can do it through thunderbird as well. I'm curious now.. I'll let ya know!

Oopsie... I stand (sit) corrected. I guess you can't access hotmail through Thunderbird :( It's a proprietary Micro$oft thing, so you can only do that in Outlook Express.

Sorry...
