Job?

Good News: I have an interview with WestJet next Wednesday

Bad News: It's a GROUP interview

Good News: I speak French, and they like that

Bad News: I didn't know how to say "turbulance" in French on the phone, thus making me sound kinda dumb since I said "ohmygosh I don't know how to say turbulance" when they asked me to translate a sentence into French

Good News: If I DO get hired, my flight priviledges are effective the first day of training (aka any flight westjet does for about $25)

Bad News: No buddy passes until after three months (along with shares and benefits)

Good News: I have an interview

Bad News: I might not get the job...

We'll just have to wait and see!!

I just checked on Babelfish translations and "Turbulence" came up as: "turbulence". I guess it doen't know that word. Sorry, I'm not much help... Good luck with your interview!

Thanks everyone...

I said it as "turbulence" with a french accent... maybe that IS the word! I'm thinking I should find out before next week! I don't want to mess up TWICE!

you are right! It is turbulence with a french accent - or even agitation (en vol)

Maybe you should go through a "pre flight" talk and try to translate it...that might be helpful...
And try to contact people that have gone through that group interview before so that you know what to expect.

Like I said before all I know how to say in french is asking if I can use the bathroom, so I am pretty certain I would NOT get hte job. lol

Good luck!

You should always end on Good News, e.g. at least you know one of the secrets to interview success - spill coffee on your coat before you go in.
